New: PhaseSheet PTM Pro

With PhaseSheet PTM Pro, Thermal Grizzly introduces a further development of PhaseSheet PTM with increased thermal conductivity. A composition optimized for improved thermal conductivity, combined with a new carrier film, also makes PhaseSheet PTM Pro easier to handle. The carrier film can be removed very easily from both sides of the PhaseSheet PTM Pro, significantly reducing the risk of tearing the sheet.

  • Excellent Thermal Conductivity
  • Consistently High Performance
  • Very High Durability
  • Versatile Application
  • Electrically Non-Conductive
  • Easy to Use

The pump-out effect is particularly pronounced when combining a copper cooler with a graphics chip because silicon and copper exhibit different rates of thermal expansion when heated. Under load, the heatspreader and the cooler base plate deform slightly in a concave or convex direction and return to their original flat shape as they cool down. As a result, the thermal paste is gradually pushed out, for example, from between the heatspreader and the base plate of the CPU cooler.

The phase-change material on which PhaseSheet PTM Pro is based is solid at room temperature. The material only begins to liquefy at temperatures above 45 °C. For optimal distribution of the liquefied PhaseSheet PTM Pro and the thinnest possible layer, a high mounting force of approximately 300–400 N is required. In its liquid state, PhaseSheet PTM Pro has a very low viscosity and contracts again as it transitions back to a solid state. This mitigates the pump-out effect.
