The Thermal Grizzly Mycro Pro Stainless Steel Intel 1700/1851/1954 is a CPU water block for Intel sockets LGA1700/1851/1954. It consists of three primary components: a copper base plate, a stainless steel cooler plate, and an anodized aluminum frame. The Mycro Pro Stainless Steel Intel 1700/1851/1954 is connected to the custom water-cooling loop via two ports, one inlet and one outlet, with G1/4-inch threads in the stainless steel body. The sealing rings (O-rings) are made from highly elastic EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), which is resistant to ozone and UV radiation..

Direct Heat Transfer
The cold plate of the Mycro Pro Stainless Steel Intel 1700/1851/1954 is not nickel-plated in order to provide the best possible transfer of heat from the processor to the custom water-cooling loop. Since the Mycro Pro Stainless Steel is mounted on the Integrated Heatspreader (IHS), where liquid metal is generally not used, a barrier layer formed by nickel is not necessarily required. While this slightly improves the performance of the cooler compared with a nickel-plated cold plate, the copper may discolor due to oxidation. Eliminating the nickel-plating process from the manufacturing chain also reduces the production cost of the cooler, resulting in a very good price-to-performance ratio.
Ultra-High-Performance-Coldplate
Thermal Grizzly's Ultra-High-Performance Coldplates for CPU and graphics card water blocks are milled with minimal and highly optimized channel and fin widths. In the case of the Mycro Pro ST Intel 1700/1851/1954, the channel and fin widths on the unplated copper cold plate are each 0.2 mm. A total of 70 microfins are located on the base plate of the CPU water block. This high number of thin fins provides a very large surface area across which the coolant can dissipate heat quickly and efficiently.

Product-Specific Notes
- The Mycro Pro Stainless Steel Intel 1700/1851/1954 is compatible with the Intel High Performance Heatspreader V1 (for socket LGA1700).
- The flow inlet has been optimized for LGA1851 with a stock heatspreader, but can also be used with LGA1700 CPUs.
- The G1/4-inch threads of the inlet and outlet ports are each 6 mm deep.
- The Mycro Pro Stainless Steel Intel 1700/1851/1954 is not suitable for Direct-Die use.
- The unplated copper base plate may discolor due to oxidation. The cooler should only be handled by the anodized aluminum frame, as skin contact with the copper accelerates oxidation and the resulting discoloration.
General Notes on Water-Cooling Products
- Do NOT use in combination with aluminum-based water-cooling components in which the coolant comes into contact with aluminum, such as radiators with aluminum tubes.
- We recommend suitable coolants that contain biocides and corrosion inhibitors and are free of particles that could restrict water flow or clog the loop.
- The custom water-cooling system should be leak-tested with an air pressure tester (maximum 0.5 bar) for at least 1 hour before filling.
- After filling, the system should be checked regularly during the first 24 hours for possible coolant leaks.
- According to Thermal Grizzly's specification, the operating pressure in the custom water-cooling loop must not exceed 0.6 bar. When using components from other manufacturers in the loop, ensure that their maximum operating pressure ratings are compatible with the system.
